BBCAA

The Beaver Bank Community Awareness Association (BBCAA) was formed in 1995 with three aims:

  • Enhance security through information and awareness
  • Recognition of individuals in the community particularly our youth
  • Betterment of the community through the sharing of view and ideas

The BBCAA is a volunteer association receiving funds through the Scotia Wind Farm located within the community.  The BBCAA manages this fund in order to support Beaver Bank in various ways.  Examples of our efforts include: a bursary program, supporting food banks that serve Beaver Bank residents, digital sign, sponsoring local events, ball park upgrades including a playpark, walking trail, etc.

The BBCAA shares information with the community via our web site, our Facebook page, and our community newsletter called the Beaver Bank Kinsac Bulletin (available online and, in printed format at local businesses when possible).  The Bulletin allows readers to stay informed on local events, learn more about their neighbors, and discover stories about the history of this community.

Our association also hosts an annual Town Hall meeting which is open to residents to attend. All welcome!  Date will be announced on the digital sign and through our social media sites.

The BBCAA is grateful for the strong collaboration with local associations and political leaders in support of Beaver Bank residents. Together, we are able to foster a sense of community and work toward positive outcomes for all.
