BEAVER BANK COMMUNITY AWARENESS ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY DIVIDEND FUND

GUIDELINES

The communities of Beaver Bank and Kinsac receive annual funding from the installation of the commercial wind turbines in North Beaver Bank. This funding is administered by the Beaver Bank Community Awareness Association (BBCAA) for the benefit of our two communities. Our goal is to disperse the funds to the community based on a flexible format of equal portions to social programs, short term small capital projects, and long term larger capital projects.

For the social projects, we see supporting food banks, post-secondary education bursaries, community outreach programs, community cleanup groups, and similar initiatives.

Short term small capital projects are those projects that will be completed within a single year. The intention is to supply funding to assist in the purchase of capital equipment for the project. It is hoped that this funding will be used to leverage other funding to complete the project. Only projects by non-profit organizations in our geographical area will be considered. Examples are playgrounds, dog parks, walking trails, etc.

Long term larger capital projects are those initiatives that may take several years to get funding in place and complete the project. Only projects by non-profit organizations in our geographical area will be considered. Normally, these will be completed with the ongoing guidance of a sub-committee of the BBCAA.

Application Process:

Application deadline is March 31st of each year for capital project but all applications will be considered if funding is available. Social programs received any time throughout the year will be considered. Address applications to:
